Hands On for Habitat — Mallory Huxford, Photographer

On April 13, 2019 members of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Muncie, Ind. volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and completed various landscaping projects for one of their newly renovated homes. Site supervisor Jay Earehart has worked on home restoration for those in need with Habitat for almost 40 years. “This is all God’s work. I’m drawn to helping people and it’s what I was meant to do. I love seeing the look on people’s faces when I hand over the keys and they start crying because they’ve never been homeowners before. It warms my heart and makes me love what I do” says Earehart.

Jay Eareheart digs up dirt at 1894 South Jefferson St. as part of the landscaping project for this newly renovated home. Earehart is the job site manager for Habitat for Humanity and has been working in home restoration for 40 years.
